Enhanced Carrier Route
postal discounts are available for mailings that meet density
requirements and are sorted in Line of Travel (LOT) sequence.
LOT sequencing is available through Zip+4 processing. This
coding allows placement of the mail pieces in the general sequence
that the mail carrier, for that route, will deliver the mail.
The postal presort required to receive these discounts does require
additional processing.

- Line of Travel (LOT) Sequence
- Cost savings through improved
address list quality
